Michael Hurson
Paintings, Drawings, & Sculpture
Exhibition at 29 Bleecker St, New York, NY, March 27–May 3, 2008
The PARC Foundation is pleased to announce its inaugural exhibition of the work of Michael Hurson (1941 – 2007) opening March 27 and on view through May 3, 2008. Comprising some 40 works, the exhibition samples Michael Hurson’s career from 1969 to 2002 and includes paintings, drawings and sculpture. In the early 1970s when the mainstream aesthetic dialogue revolved around formalist sculpture and conceptual art, Michael Hurson and artists such as Neil Jenney, Malcolm Morley and others were producing representational paintings, which predicted the strong figurative current in painting today.
